had water in a cylinder so i pulled the head, when i took one of the bottom bolts out water came out of the bolt hole, the head gasket doesnt look bad, any ideas?
If your profile is correct you are running a 120hp right? The bottom two bolt holes pass straight through into the open channel at the base of the powerhead. When the bolts are in place they protrude into this cavity that has water and exhaust flowing through it. When you pull them you may have a little water on them, and the hole may be wet. I was told by a good marine mechanic friend to reinstall these bolts with some type of rtv on the ends to prevent corrosion. Hope that helps
