I reinstalled the drive last week and finally got around to starting the boat 350 magnum mercruiser 1995 Rinker. I let the muffs run a few minutes before starting, fired it up and it took a few moments to fill the engine and start flowing out the transom. It took some time but the temp registered 155*F once the thermostat opened. I thought I remembered more water coming out the prop last season. All I saw was a trickle thru the prop. Is that normal? Or should more come from the prop too?

Is that below the outdrive? I have not heard that term “idle relief” before. I was concerned my exhaust flaps were damaged And blocking the lower unit exhaust passage.

Ah, those must be the two smaller holes in the Y pipe. And why the water exits there first. Thank you.
