Hey everyone,
So I just added a tell tale onto my 50hp force using the plug hole just above the thermostat. Pretty common mod. My question is, is the water coming out the tell tale coming from the thermostat or going to the thermostat? I really like the tell tale mod but I'd like to know what it's telling me. Thanks!

I presume since the tell tale is on the t-stat housing that water is going into the t-stat instead of coming from the t-stat. You can check this by watching the tell tale water flow as soon as you start the motor and water starts flowing from the tell tale even before the motor reaching operating temp. Note the motor will reach operating temp quickly mostly in less than a minute or two. If water doesn't instantly flow from the tell tale upon motor start and eventually flows after only reaching operating temps, then I guess the tell tale water is coming from the t-stat instead.

Okay cool thanks jigs. Yeah idk if I mean the housing itself, but that threaded plug on top of the top cylinder area, where most people add tell tales
