Re: Water flow diagram ???- Yamaha '96 C115
I can describe it, but I don't have a diagram handy.
Water is drawn from intakes in the gearcase.
It passes through the water pump and continues up a pipe into the base under the powerhead.
From there it works it's way up into the cooling jackets around the cylinders and in the heads.
Water fills the cavities from the bottom and is blocked by the thermostats at the top until it opens from heat.
The next stop is the exhaust system between the cylinder banks.
It exits with the exhaust down through the midsection, into the gearcase, and out the prop.
There is also a high pressure bypass valve that allows full unfettered water flow at higher RPMs, and a bit pee's out the telltale.
