While fishing over the weekend my 1999 TJRX 2 stroke Yamaha 90/65 OB(ser#499966) went from running great to running on 2 cylinders. I pulled the cover and right away noticed there was water in the bottom of the tray. I pulled the plugs a #3 was fooled and had water drops on it. I started the engine and noticed that there was a bunch of water comming out of the head cover. I limped it back to the boat ramp on 2 cylinders and pulled it out of the water where I could look it over a bit better. Pulled the #3 again and it was oily/watery. I noticed that the lower right bolt that held the head cover on was just a stud (the bolt head was missing) So I'm guessing that there is my problem. I'm a decent wrench turner, Is this an easy fix? On a scale of 1-10 what is the difficulty? I'm assuming that I EZ out the stud out and replace the gasket? There looks to me to be a few gaskets on this head, do I replace all of them? Do they come in a kit? Anything that I need to know before I tear into this thing? Thanks you guys very much in advance for any and all help that is offered!!!

Here's the diagram and looks like I'm going to need #'s 32 and 33 right?

First you should remove the water jacket cover and head. Check to see if the head or cylinder block is cracked or just a blown head gasket. Hopefully the bolt will be exposed when the head is off and you can grab it with vise grips (heat up the block with a torch to make it easier) This is the least of your problems. You really wont know what you have until you pop off the head. After the diagnosis, you still need to determine the cause of the problem. Doesn't sound good though. Keep us posted and post pics when you break it down. Good Luck
