I bought the boat, motor, fuel tank, oars and two swivel seats for $300(can)

Also picked up the trailer seperately for $200. I rewired the trailer and added new lights as well as a new tongue. All together I've invested $600 into it.

The boat is a 12 Thornes.
The motor is a 4hp Johnson Seahorse

Now to get er out on the water to test her out.
Boat pics.

good deal. look my 14 footer, futher down the page. '1960 Lonestar 55 15 rude finished for now' highly recommend extending you fuel line and placing the fuel tank between 1 and second seat, will perform better. with one person. with 2 people between just behind 2nd seat. get the weight out of the stearn. i have less than $1,000 us in mine rigged out.

Thanx for the tip on the placement of the fuel tank. I thought putting it more up front would help but didn't know till I actually get her out.

truck bed liner is the way to go in tinnys, it has good anti skid properties, comes in lots of colors and helps cut down the boat noise... dont wanna scare the fish away..

firecracker, i cut some 1/2" plywood panels to go between the seats, to level out the floor. figure out center line height, and rip a 2x4 as a center support. stapled a strip of carpet on the edges and bottom of 2x4 to protect the hull, and stop rattling. works great. just pull the out and wash it down. cheap fix.

The names fish cracker not fire cracker :p
Ever used fire crackers to catch fish?? :D

The plywood trick just might work man. Gonna measure it up and make one...see how I like it. It would make it more comfortable to stand in.

I have a 12 ft Elgin and I bought some Non-skid paint from Sherwin Williams that is specifically for aluminum, worked great and was easy to use and cheap. I'll try and track down exactly what it was. I painted it all the way up to the gunwhales and put down some redwood slats so water would stay off the toes, you do have to track down dropped lures later though.
