Re: Was on the way to the boat when I saw this..

I was parked at a wal-mart waiting for my wife.

I'm about 1/2 back in the parking lot sitting on the tail gate of my truck havin a soda.
I see this real nice Cuda pull through, Drops his girl off and rumbles though the parking lot past me and parks. No cars around him any where. He gets out and starts to wipe the chrome on the car. Out of no where an old pos car pulls up and parks right next to the Cuda.

I hear the guy politely say there is a whole parking lot can you move your car? This guy didn't say a word and walked off. I couldn't believe it, The guy in the cuda gave him the finger and moved his car.

Gotta love the wal-mart types.

Re: Was on the way to the boat when I saw this..

A guy was parked half way over the line between parking spaces, so I pulled in about an inch from his drivers side door. Just as I got out he came out of the store. "HEY, how am I supposed to get in my car" he said. I said "I'm not the one that took a parking spot and a half". "It's not my fault" he said,"the car next to me was too far over". "Let me understand your excuse" I said,"there wasn't room for you to park there; so you parked there!"DUH

Years ago my buddy and I came out to the parking lot to find someone parked like that next to his car, which was parked normal in the space. My buddy gets hot and starts slamming the door of his '72 Dodge Dart Swinger into the door of the other car. HUGE crease down the side of the other guy's door.

Naw, I do it too. If someone is over the line, and I can center my car in the next space, he may have to make himself 2 inches thick to get in the driver's door, or crawl in from the passenger side.
Wait???? are you driving a motorcycle in this senario??? to center in the spot when someone is half way into it is impossible. Glad there are so many VOLUNTEER parking police.

 your no better than him.... you just did the same thing. If he was "way over the line" then your driver's side must of also been over the line of the next spot over. as you said above "there wasn't room for you to park there; so you parked there!"DUH

I just find another spot. No sense in inciting a range war over a parking spot.

I agree with these guys. Some of you are no better, and in fact worse because you are acting like punks looking for trouble. The people parking screwed up might be doing it due to inattentiveness, or lack of intelligence, while you other guys are doing it with a sense of malice or ill will. I'm sure your parents are proud.

This sort of thing boils my blood too. Complete lack of consideration for others (or possibly the inability to even have such consideration) is getting ridiculous in society today. We see it everywhere - from the boat-launch to the fast-lane on the freeway and all the aforementioned parking-lot experiences.

If I said I'm not guilty of a little "revenge", I'd be a liar; that being said, I've learned that ya just can't fix stupid. If they were ignorant enough to let it happen in the first place, there isn't much we can do to prevent it from happening in the future.

I hate it, but society is becoming much more accepting of this sort of behavior.

Ok, I'm done ranting...

I had a guy in a very nice corvette take the space I'm waiting for. As the guy gets out of his car I tell him I wouldn't leave that car alone in the parking lot. As I pull away I see him get in his car and drive away.

When I see a car parked in the middle of two spaces so no one will ding the doors, unless it is a restored classic, I sometimes leave a note "Your car isn't really all that special to need 2 spaces."

But I don't park near someone I might make mad.

Probably paying more attention to her ?smart-phone? than her driving . . .
absolutely impossible for that broad to have one .if she had headphones on and you took them off she would go into convulsions and die.place headphones on your head and you would hear ,breath in ,breath out, breath in ,breath out!

Re: Was on the way to the boat when I saw this..

I went to back to the ?Back to the 50?s? (it?s a car show at the MN Fair grounds) here in MN this summer. I didn?t want to pay for a parking space so I went early to find some on street parking because it fills up pretty quickly. I found a spot about a mile and a half to 2 miles away near a corner. Parked about 6-7 feet from the owners driveway, got out and walked to the fair. I came back to find a car about an inch off my front bumper almost blocking the driveway, and one about an inch off my rear hitch and too close to the corner (I should have taken a picture). I was in somewhat of a rush to leave and didn?t want to pull the Austin Powers maneuver, and didn?t want to call the police to get it towed (I?m not even sure if they could do anything or not). So I decided instead of calling any one or waiting for them to return, that I would just push the persons car in front of me a couple of feet (somewhat blocking the owners driveway but only a little more then was already being blocked). I couldn?t really push the car behind me because I didn?t want to do any real damage or anything because of the trailer hitch on the back.

But as far as the parking lots go. I normally park away from the front doors. That?s where all the crazies park anyways. They?re the type of people that will wait 10min for someone to unload the stuff from their baskets, or squeeze into a spot so small that they have to climb out the rear window just so they can be 10 feet closer to the doors. Why try to reason with these people? Seriously. If they have gotten to that point, they?ve already lost their ability to reason. Plus you never know what kind of crazy they are. Are they going to slash your tires leaving you there where you can?t move? Would they pull a weapon? Would they try to cause physical harm? You just don?t know these things or the kind of person you may encounter, hence it would be better to do what I do Park further down. The farther away from the door you are the better. Plus the extra couple of steps would probably be good for you. There, I just came up with a solution to lower you blood pressure :D

I have an 88 jeep pick up that I love to drive for this reason. I fabricated a nice steel bumper from scrap industrial shelve tubing along with a hitch. Well, over the years I have been rear ended several times. So you can say along with the age and crook-ed but (still)straight bumper you might say its looks has a bit of additude. I can park it anywhere...lol....the bumper bothers folks but it works even better now protecting the rest of the vehicle..:)

I knew someone who owned a fairly new Corvette that used to do just this. He'd park it right on the line to take 2 spaces so no one could park too close to him. Some ditzy girl in a huge SUV smashed right into the side of it and ripped the whole from quarter panel off. Cops came and gave him the ticket for parking illegally. His insurance had to pay for the repairs of her truck as well because of it. Personally, I say it serves him right.

It sort of makes you wonder,... Who owns who???

Get it???

ITS A CAR!!!!! If its too "precious" to park it at wal-mart, maybe they should take the Pinto or the Vega... Remember those?? Talk about disposable....

Oh well.

My $.02 worth... :)

The best one I can think of are people at the fitness club sitting blocking the lanes with 4 cars behind them waiting for a space right up front so they dont have to walk too far. Or driving around the parking lot over and over to save 10 feet. I am not even there to work out, but I park in the first place I see. If it means I have to walk a bit further, so be it. I need the excersize. They apparently do too or they wouldnt be there.

Girl parked her car, got out of it and went into the store.......leaving it like this..

I'll bet she's one of those that parks in the wheelchair access (yellow stripes)
between handicapped parking spots too. I spent the better part of the last 8 years either in a wheelchair or on crutches and had to call the police over that kind of thing more than once:mad:

Also, please consider, that on more than one occasion I have been forced
to park in a "regular" parking spot due to all the other spots being taken.
More often than not, I would have to intentionally double park to allow room
to get in and out with aforementioned wheelchair or crutches:(
Something to consider next time one thinks about doling out street justice...
