I have a problem that’s either related to Carbs or Timing. I was in the midst of rebuilding the Carbs and of course I have plastic bowls warped so I bought some used ones on EBay the part numbers were different but the gentlemen said they would work. They are almost there same but when I installed the high Speed Orifice it sits proud in comparison to my old bowl which is flush (PLEASE SEE PICTURES BELOW). But I’m not sure if it will change anything? Please tell me what you think - I dont want to add another element to troubleshooting a problem. Opinion on sanding the warp out? And/Or using some 3m 847? I read its great for fuel/gaskets

You state that your fuel bowl is warped. Have you checked how bad the warpage is using feeler gauge? Take the fuel bowl and lay it upside down and see how much warpage there is with which feeler gauge you can slide in between the bowl and the flat surface. And if it isn't way out, (a few thousandths or so) take some sand paper on a flat surface and sand the fuel bowl in a figure eight sanding motion and re-flatten it. Shouldn't take too much off to make a serious difference. Just an idea with "plastic" fuel bowls.

I’ve thought about this and considering it - I think it would work if I could do similar to the carb body. Is it possible to remove the brass tube and plastic one in the middle? I saw a YouTube of a guy who did it, I know it’s possible but does concern me not ruining it / installing it to the proper depth when re-installing

Also my last timeThought he on using the old and new gasket together?? I think it would deal with the warp but concerned about the extra thickness might throw things off?
