Re: Wantagh, Long Island to Cape May, NJ
Milky, I agree with Chris1956, & Stiff Nibbles esp. where to put in for gas. Manasquan Inlet is an easy one to get into, and has everything you need. [Gas,ice, beer] Absecon Inlet, Atlantic City would be my other choice as well, and if you're sick of driving by then you can get a room and hit the casino! If you take Stiff Nibbles advice, ya gotta pay attention in Barnegat Bay which has alot of SHALLOW spots A good rule of thumb is to keep to the western side if you are south-bound. I grew up on the bay, and think it would be a nice ride for you, but it will slow you down. Drop some lines in with squid 1 mile north of Barnegat inlet, I always had good luck with fluke there-BTW, I usad to take my '83 21'Chris-Craft on a regular basis fron Island Heights, N.J. to Chelsea, N.Y. [Hudson River]on a pretty regular basis, and never had a problem. Just keep an eye on the weather forcast!Have Fun! Jeff
