Want to make my 350’s louder

Ayuh,.... My 1st attempt was to eyeball straight aft, off the risers, 'n drill a pair of 4" holes in the transom, 'n slide in a pair of 4" ssteel pipes,...
Just followed the down angle of the risers, 'n nothin' was in the way,....

I then spent 20 years redesignin' the pipes to quiet it down to a reasonable rumble,.....
Finally junked the boat, 'n called it a life experience,....

Now, I find just runnin' a Tube, rather than a bellows on the bottom of the y-pipe, Rumble enough,.....
