First, the bodies should come off of the production lines. If they want to use a composite body, Chevy has the Vette and Ford has the mid-engined GT. Toyota is stuck with the Land Cruiser.

I have it on good authority that when Humpty_Boater becomes iCup prez that the Chase/Playoff system and heat racing will disappear, along with charters.

And "Stock" will be meaningful again. If a manufacturer doesn't make a V8, rear drive version of the model campaigned, it will be banned. H_B has been working with Chevy and Ford, hence Camaros and Mustangs are both in Cup next year. Bye-bye Camry and hello Land Cruiser!

That is good news if it comes to fruition. The idea the Big 3 originally had was guys would go to a race on the weekend then run out Monday morning and buy the same car he saw win the race. Thus Dodge had to sell so many Super Birds with the 4 foot wing out of the dealership showroom or they weren't allowed to race them on the weekend. I like the move back to real stock car racing.

Did someone mention Wrangler? Just got it back on the road a couple days ago, I think winter is over..

I have a buck $2.80 in the truck. I don't think there will be a line wanting to buy....

since NASCAR has been running CoT chassis' which are a 6th generation custom chassis based loosely on a 1960's frame, its time that STOCK gets back into the game.

I have about $3 in my pocket along with some lint.....

The fund continues to grow ... we are assembling a board of "experts" that can put NASCAR iCup racing back on the MAP!

NASCAR is not going to return to its former glory. I hate to be the downer, but it's a reality being brought about by the younger generations. Everything is going to go down in both in person attendance and TV ratings. The best thing you could do to NASCAR to make it appeal to the younger demos is time limit the races to 6 minutes only and broadcast them on youtube. That might get some younger ones to watch.

Take a look at what's going on with College Football. Like NASCAR, there's been loads of stadium expansion, now it looks like the attendance is gradually swinging back in the other (non-growth) direction.

While you are changing stuff; change the track to a Figure 8..

Not a real good idea for all tracks, but on boring 1.5 mile tri-oval tracks, which is all 1.5 milers, putting a figure 8 in the straightaway works for me.

More road courses are needed, too. Buy cars on Monday, run shine Tues-Sat, race on Sun - Returning to Nascar's roots.

This weekends race wasn't even on my tv atall. All the channels that normally carried the race had the hockey playoffs on instead.I wish more channels would pick up and broadcast the Drone Racing League.

I used to listen to NASCAR radio until a couple years ago, Dave Moody, Chocolate Myers etc... People were complaining then about how boring the races were, the common response was " what would u do to fix it"? If u dindnt have an answer they wouldn't listen to you.

My thoughts were, NASCAR pays people big bucks to figure it out. Why should I have to come up with ideas? Sounds like they may not have the right personnel in place...
