Soon, Wal-Mart customers will be able to sample a new discount item:<br />Wal-Mart's own brand of wine. The world's largest retail chain is teaming up with Robert Mondavi Winery of California, to produce the spirits at an affordable price, in the $2 - $5 range. Wine connoisseurs may not be inclined to throw a bottle of Wal-Mart brand into their shopping carts, but "there is a market for cheap wine", said Kathy Micken, professor of marketing. Now that you mention it.There was an interview on NPR about wineries starting up in China.<br />I can see it already:<br />"Special sale!!!!.3 weeks aged phantasia wine,grown and bottled at the Walton Estates vineyards in the Guang Dong valley in Manchuria."

"Walmart wine" is one of biggest reasons i avoid that place like the plague.<br />All them kids wining, "mommy mommy mommmy! I want to ride the horsie i want another dollar!! I want the popsicle now!"<br />Gives me shudders just thinkin about it.<br />Well, you knew somebody here was going to post this reply. I just figured i would get it out of the way.
