Wal Mart did not hurt small business, the CONSUMERS did.

We American's are all about "choice". We were given one and we chose.

This is a good point DJ and quite true. I love the choices too, but the back draft of this issue is that if you like cheap stuff (Walmart/Harbour Freight/etc) you can't complain about 'offshoring' work and the resulting loss of jobs. Basically....love hurts and if you wanna play (cheap) you're going pay somewhere. I wish it was different but I have to at least try to put my money where my mouth is...which means not frequenting the super cheap options such as Walmart or Harbour Freight and in particular their made in China stuff.
Heck.....I even went so far as to run a 'made in America' motor on my boat...my Force 1990/90hp, which by the way is a great motor...not one problem with it yet.:D
All Good:)
BP:cool:

More off topic thoughts. its gettn really hard to know what is... MADE.. in America...Big diif in a company thats BASED in America, and products that are MADE, in America... Examples. My Chevy P U truck, made by GM, based in America. But my truck was mostly manufactured in Canada and Mexico... Toyota... Based in Japan , but manufactured [except landcruiser, lexus] in Oklahoma , I believe...:confused:

EDIT... Now there is the difference between Manufactured, and Assembled... hmmmm. Detroit MANUFACTURES parts, that are ASSEMBLED in .............. Who knows. Eithier way, were screwed:facepalm:

It's kinda sad to see so many with these issues at Wally World. WalMart is what it is, My local WalMart is among the companies leaders in Ammo sales and they have a great guy running the section as well. Yes I have had issues like anyone else I suppose but for the most part its one of the few stores I go to regularly for what I need. I don't go there to have them work on my truck or any of my cars because I don't trust the workmanship of the employees. I think the single biggest irritation in WalMart isn't the store its that patrons believe its a place where they don't have to be responsible for their offspring, I wish I could have a foam bat to carry around and blast the little heathens for doing stupid stuff while mom or dad aren't looking because they are on the other side of the freaking store! I try to go first thing in the morning so that I can get in and out as quickly as possible since they have 400 checkout lanes and 2 cashiers. I used to go late at night but I guess its the new Waffle House for drunks

really? the one in CR you can't find someone to open the case to save your life. I used to buy winchester white box 9mm by the case to feed the machine gun but it became such a hassle I stopped bothering.

I don't know but that was a great bargain if you were lucky enough to find it. I don't grill enough to bother stocking up, maybe 2-3 times per year.

Gotta tell you though any deadline for tags or whatever they get extra people to cover, I guess you just need to know the schedule...

I am not a big fan of Walmart, most likely because of quality. I once was going to purchase some crusants and saw a fly baked into it.

Though I guess if someone gets paid then it helps them, even if it is in China.

I like buying "American", though I also feel guilty when I buy something that was made by a Union.
