Our President just drove (or will be driving)right by my house after his speech in Janesville. Unfortunately I have to do my part to keep the economy going so I was at work. Security is really, really tight. You can't even be on the road and all parking along city streets is prohibited.

I feel bad that I missed my opportunity to see him but hopefully I will get another chance.. Not thrilled with all his policies but I am thrilled with him as a man and president.

Look at the following link to improve the voting process in this country.

http://www.townhall.com/columnists/nealboortz/nb20040924.shtml

So that article says only the rich can vote? It also leaves loop holes for those funded by outside support. I don't like his idea.

i like the part about voting accdg to the amt of income tax paid, and no voting while on welfare, and having to take a short quiz on your particular states reps before getting to actually vote.

I don't want to see him. I don't want him driving by. I want to take him fishin. I want to talk to him,get to know him, and invite him to my my grandson's baptism.
I understand that his father, his brother,Jeb and he used to go tarpon fishing not far from here. I'd kill to be invited on one of those trips. His dad is my favorite war hero, next to my wife's father.

I read the article and cannot help but laugh. This joker wants to turn history around and in the process return the right to vote to the rich and powerful thereby leaving most americans and certainly all women and all those of color other than lilywhite without the right to vote.Democracy developed in America after our founding fathers passed away. They lived in their time and the country has evolved since. If you think that America should not be a democracy, you should try some banana republic with its own ruling family for a while and see how much you like it.It is of course a way to disenfranchise anybody who does not share your point of view, which in my opinion belongs in another era altogether.

Re: W just drove by my house.

think that it would be a safe bet to say that somewhere around 35 to 40% of the voters who manage to find their way to the polling place on November 2nd are going to be voting with one thought in mind: Which one of the people on this ballot will take the most money away from people I don’t particularly like and then either give that money to or spend that money on me. If you want to talk about suppressing the vote … these are the people I would like to see locked in their homes on Election Day
rolmops,
And when did the concept of redistribution of wealth and punative taxation become part of the elctoral process. What you are referring to is socialism, and that is not what this nation was intended to be. What Neil is pointing to is that those who are a drain on society, (an ever increasing percentage of society) can every year, or two, or four or six, go an vote themselves some more money. Almost never do they understand what they are voting for and therefor a more stupid society is benefitial to those who would make them subservient to the government. And that is what they do under the guise of it being an american right. PUKE.

Vote fraud will be in the 2-3% range in Wisconsin this year and guess which party will benefit? Last year the homeless were given cigarettes to vote for al gore. They were caught and the democrat DA dismissed the charges. Having a heartbeat and showing up at the polls should not be enough to qualify you to vote. Hell they want ILLEGAL aliens to be able to vote. What do you think they will vote for? There are certain responsiblities associated with being a citizen, and not everyone has done their homework or should qualify. Unless you think this is a socialist country and people are voting for a socialist candidate?

All politics aside, I hate when them warshington boys come to town... Screws up traffic even worse than a flaming fuel spill, truck jack knife, 10 car pile-up on the interstate...

Re: W just drove by my house.

So he used a little hyperbole to make his final point? Funny how newly sworn immigrant citizens are FAR more up to speed about how our government works that we are. It is an utterly indisputable fact! Even Canadian non-citizens visiting here usually know more about how our government works than we do. Boortz is 100% correct when he identifies a major problem: the majority have learned that they can shop for the pandering candidate who will give THEM the best deal. "Screw the majority, screw the nation. Its all about ME, baby!" Isn't it time we wake up, wise up, and straighten up, because too late is coming up really soon?!
