VT-17 Filling up with Gas issue

When I go boat camping, I'm struggling to be able to fill my boat up with gas from a jerry can. Is it because my boat is at a weird angle when its in the water? Or do Crestliners need pressurized gas station pumps to force gas in ? Any suggestion would be appreciated.

It would help to say what the issue is. It won't take gas or it sprays back out or something else? Only race cars use pressurized refueling.

It simply doesn’t go in, it’s like it vapor locks and the gas just stays in my can and doesn’t go down into the tank. Hope this makes sense.
