I have a 1984 Johnson V-4 90hp motor, J90MLCRD. Can I convert the VRO like the Forum in top secret says, I guess you disconnect the oil line, and still use the VRO only for the fuel, but at a pre-mix. Can I do this with my model year engine?
yes..be sure to pump mixed fuel through the lines so you do not run your motor on straight gas..even for a short time. best to disconnect VRO after running engine until mixed gas is running through carbs...if VRO has failed you can manually pump fuel into carbs through lines.
