Just purchased a Michigan Vortex prop. (the one requiring the hub adaptor kit) It has a 5" dia. 3/8" wide plastic spacer attached to the back where it butts up to the LU housing. Should this spacer be taken off before installing to allow the prop to fit inside the housing the 3/8"? This plastic ring may just be a protector during shipping.
