Vortec engine or not?

Just wondering if my engine is a Vortec or not. Engine Ser.# OF142713. 4 bolts each connecting exhaust to heads. Thanks.

12 or 8 bolts for the intake manifold?
12 = pre Vortec
8 = Vortec

Is this a 4.3 V6?

0F142713 is a non Vortech engine (Non Gen+ as merc would call it). Your engine come up as an 1994 MERCRUISER TB4, W/PS, TWOPCEX, WORO 4.3LX ALPHA, Model number 443L100GS.

Your intake manifold bolts should have 12 bolts holding it down while the Gen+ uses 8.
