I started my boat last week and it run fine in the driveway hooked to the hose but when i put it in the water it would run once it was warmed up i would idel but when i would try to accelertate it would die then i couldnt start agin until it cooled for a while start agin same result . the boat didnt act like that hooked to the hose in the yard . any ideas?

When was the last full tuneup, including a compression test? Is the timing belt, pulleys, and tensioner in good shape? Is the timing where it should be? Is the accelerator pump in the carbs working? Do you have water separating fuel filter? If so, have you checked it for water?

timing belt and pulleys and tensioner are good . in the prosses of changing points and plugs and checking timing. I do not have a fuel water seperator .I soppose u just in stall that in line , any recomendations
