Volvo sx-m maintenance

Hi I’m a relatively new boater. This is my first real boat. Fairly mechanical guy.
I’ve got a 2004 penta glp-c with an sx-m 1.97 outdrive and had it serviced when first bought it used about 3 years ago. They gave it a once over, checked the gimbal bearing and replaced a bellow. Said the bearing was good.
My question is, does the universal joint need any special attention/grease and/or should I grease the splines at any reg intervals? I looked for service recommendations from Volvo to no avail. Do I need to remove the drive for any maintenance at all? Thanks

You should be pulling the drive every year to inspect the alignment, U-joints and bellows. Bellows should be replaced every 3-5 years

Suggest getting a factory service manual
