Volvo penta sx stern drive oil

Can I use a standard Synthetic gear oil, API GL-5, SAE 75W-90 purchased from my local auto parts store? Thank you in advance!

As long as it is synthetic, the right viscosity (it is) and has the GL-5 qualification, it is good to go.
