Depends if the blades were the same a little more bite and slightly lower rpm at WOT. If they have more cup different blade profile difference might be more dramaticI'm sorry for all the questions but I'm trying to learn from yall.
What benefits would I see if I picked up a VP 21 pitch with an extra 1/2" of diameter? Seems like a lot of people are selling off their, much newer than mine, stock units for next to nothing.
It really depends on how you use your boat. If I recall you have lighter faster boat vs the arse heavy boat I have that doesn't go over 50. Most of my time is with my daughters and their friends skiing/ wakeboarding or swimming. Four blade gives great benefits for that use.Good comment Scott. I just admit. I might be warming to the abilities of a 4 blade, on a light big outboard powered fast boat. They seem to stabilise them at speed for sure.
The boat I use it on is just all about top end really to be fair. I wish she was light, haha. She’s likely the heaviest 18ft boat I’m aware of. She’s 1500kgs dry. She does have a pad and a step to help things along though. It really depends on how you use your boat. If I recall you have lighter faster boat vs the arse heavy boat I have that doesn't go over 50. I'm assuming they would be the same profile as it would be a vp factory prop, but 20 years is a long time for advancement. If I can pick one up for a song all have to run some time tests.Depends if the blades were the same a little more bite and slightly lower rpm at WOT. you can never have too many props around... I went through 5 trials before I found two I like and a third aluminum for a early season lots of wood in the lake spareI'm assuming they would be the same profile as it would be a vp factory prop, but 20 years is a long time for advancement. I like the way you think. I think I would love to have a pulling 4 blade in a 19" flavor and then a 3 blade 23" for speed when I just want to go play around.you can never have too many props around... the Revolution 4 comes in even pitch increments as well so 19 or 20 would probably do you fine. If you see Vensura or Offshore used I would try that but be more inclined to try a 21" given the size of your boat.I like the way you think.
