Volvo penta outdrive on 350?

Hello,

can i fit a new volvo penta outdrive (74xd i think) that was for a 454 on my 350? I have bell housing, gimbal etc all new and need to replace the current OMC drive, housing etc.

i am hoping the bell housing fits on the 350. going to close the transom hole any way and restart but don't want to swap the 350 for a big block.

any suggestions appreciated.

Ayuh,... The Chevy Block Flange bolt pattern is the Same as it's been since about 1955....
They ALL interchange..... From the 3.0l I4 to the 454...

Personally, I have no idea what a 74xd outdrive is, and I've been a Volvo tech for a lot of years. So without knowing what drive you have, it's impossible to say if that Volvo drive will fit an OMC. Honestly, NO volvo drive will just fit on any OMC
Really need some years, model and serial numbers to even have a clue what you are trying to do.
