1) Change the oil in the drive unit every season. Is that over kill or is it really necessary. We take our boat out maybe 4-5 times per year to lakes only. I use maybe 1/4-1/2 tank of fuel each outing.
Ignore it.. a little water in there will only freeze and bust the case, or destroy bearings ..both are a lot cheaper than new oil...
2) Replace Drive Unit Bellows and clamps very second year. This also seems a bit extreme.
Ignore this too..little rip, boat sinks..no problem..and all those bearings and U-Joints are cheap to if it don't
3) Fuel Filter Engine and Carburetor every season: This also seems a bit extreme.
So does paddling back to beat a Tornado when the crap gas and junk in the tank collects and parks ya
Spark Plugs: Replace every season: Now I know this is not necessary!
Again, not worth it...eaiser to find out that rusty, or steam cleaned plug was the cause of ya wondering why your padding back (that Tornado is getting closer)
Impeller, Water Pump: I know the impeller is important and I do keep one on board at all times but EVERY SEASON??? Come on now...
(that sound....hmmm ..that sound.... like a train coming, your paddling, engine smoking..you screaming "Why didn't I LISTEN to what the MANUAL SAID!...damn Tornados)
Thanks for all of your suggestions in advance
