Hello, I have a 2015 Glastron with a V8 Volvo Penta. When driving at about 40 MPH and around 4000 RPM, my alarm light comes on. I get one solid beep. Then it clears itself. My oil pressure, temperature, and battery are all good. I don't lose power either. Anyone have any idea what this is?

What are the Volvo penta designation numbers found after the 5.7?
Most likely it's fuel injected vs being carbureted?..Just making sure is all. ;)

Most times without the help of a marine designed scan tool like seen below, these intermittent symptoms are extra challenging to find especially if it's 1 of the catalyst sensors...
Just an idea to consider, sometimes in the craigslist website you can find mobile marine services that may have a scanner to go out with you for a ride...
Look under services for marine and see if that may help in your area.
Good luck.

How hot is the exhaust getting? For that year of boat, it probably has the catalyst exhaust and the coolant passages are quite small and easily plug up. It is curious that a solid alarm isn't putting it in limp mode.

I am getting up to 175 degrees on my gauges. Definitely not going into limp mode. When it happens should i shut it down and measure the temperature of the exhaust manifold?

175 is the engine temp. I would shoot the exhaust manifold and the top of the Cat/Riser. They should be warm but not hot enough to grill a sandwich.
