volvo penta 3.0L exhaust manifold leak test

Can I do a test on a volvo penta 3.0L exhaust manifold for leaks when it is cold out.
Michigan temps are just above freezing in the coming weeks.
Using Acetone to test.

Yes just be careful acetone is very flammable
