volvo penta 3.0 waterpump

the waterpump squeals at low rpm, until the thermostat opens. then it stops squealing. the motor runs good, doesn't overheat , waterpump was recently rebuilt, new belts. Any ideas as to why it squeals? very annoying.

If the belt turns nice and free, my bet would be on a worn out belt.
Put on a new belt and tighten to specs.
Make sure all the pulley aren't rusty before you put on a new belt.
