Volvo Penta 3.0 Beeping and Ggoing Into Limp Mode

I have a 2012 Stingray with a 3.0 Volvo Penta that has been beeping and going into limp mode. I took it into the marina and they changed the impeller, temperature sensor, engine thermostat, 2 exhaust thermostats, checked the water flow, and it's good, recirculated the pump, and it's still beeping and going into limp mode. The code reads that the exhaust manifold is running hot (198). The mechanic isn't familiar with Volvo Pentas and is unsure what to do next. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

This is the first mistake, and second is most likely he does not "actually" understand marine motors. He just thru parts at it and didn't know how to test

The VP 3.0 comes in many versions, first tell us which one you have?

I'm lacking in knowledge here. How do I find out what version I have? Btw, I really appreciate you responding.

Is it a GL with a carb or one that is EFI or MPI?

Do you have a serial number?

You need a scanner to see what codes are showing up. The only way to know is with a scanner

Rinda makes the scanner and you will need either the Diacom software which uses your laptop, or Techmate Pro is a hand held. The Diacom is more versatile and cost more but Techmate is a very good tool and is stand alone

Both Diacom and Techmate will need adapter 94029. Other adapters are available to use with newer and older motors

Ebay Good to know! Wow. This is a lot. Btw, the mechanic was asking if it could possibly be the riser hose. Could this happen if it was stopped up? And again, thank you for the help. I feel so lost with all of this.

Also, is this a special scanner for the Volvo Penta? They scanned it and it came up with the code I mentioned before

Don't know which code number, but you did say sensor reads 198.

If a sensor thinks the something is overheating, it will limit rpm to try and save the motor. This can be a brand new but defective sensor. Can be a bad connection to the sensor, in correct voltage applied to sensors. The scanner needs to be read through all readings to ensure even though the sensor might see 198, if 5V reference voltage is not exactly 5V then sensors read out of range

It is all about understanding what is being seen. I'm guessing because there is not enough information

We're getting the code SPN441
Do you know what this means?

If it's SPN 441 FMI 15 then it's high manifold Temp
What is the FMI number

The mechanic said yes, that was the reading, but after running it and the alarm sounding off he touched the manifold and it was cold. That's why he was baffled about what else to do.

Is this the sensor you replaced?

If this was replaced then it's probably a bad connection, chaffed wire, or ECM issue.
