Volvo Penta 275 Tilt Probs...

1987 Volvo Penta AQ131A / 275 outdrive...

No problems with tilt mechanism last weekend, but yesterday it would not lower, but would raise only. I pushed the outdrive down by hand, but of course the lowering did not lock the outdrive because the pawl mechanisim did not lower to engage the lock.

Is there a seperate fuse for the lowering relay? Any one else ever have this problem? Again, it raises just fine, but will not lower!

Probably a loose/corroded wire or relay in the down circuit.

I have the same problem with my 275 VP outdrive only in reverse. My outdrive will not raise up. Does anyone know the part number for these relays? I think thats my problem.
