volvo 4.3 cracked intake and possibly????

Let me start by saying i know the the intake manifold is cracked, what i dont know is if the block is as well. How do i check the block to tell if its cracked. I have a bunch of water in the oil but im sure that some of it and hopefully all of its frome the intake. Any help would be awesome. Oh yaeh the engine is a 1999 vortec 4.3l witb 2br carb.

Did you winterize the engine at all? If there was enough water in your intake manifold to crack it, chances are your block was completely full and probably cracked as well. Sorry for the bad news but physics usually wins out every time. "two objects cant occupy one space at the same time"

Ayuh,... I agree with Alphus,...
Unfortunately, ya gotta block off the Intake manifold water ports on the heads to air pressure test the rest of the block....
Do ya see any Cracks in the bottom/ sides of the lifter valley,..??
If not, they'll be hid, behind/ opposite the block drains, inside the base...

I donno Why Volvo uses intakes that need their own Drains,....
