No plastic aftermarket. You can rebuild them if the housing isn't shot.
It takes a new seal, a new cover and gasket, and an eccentric cam(part that squeezes the impeller.Check the scoring in the back of the housing and the scoring on the cover.Jerry

WOW! I forgot about this thread. I never fixed the problem, I just continued using the feed coming up through the bottom of my boat.

I never thought about checking item (28) or (29) in the posted diagram. Thanks Don, I'll take a look at that. Is there a way to check (24) without disassembling the drive?

My water pump isn't plastic, it's brass with a rubber impeller. Is there a plastic after market pump?

I was the one to suggest the impeller and sadly the one who mentioned the plastic water pump in which I am almost sorry I did for heaven sakes- I took a beating for both. I am going to take a picture of the dang thing and post it, and as far as my suggestion went I really was only trying to help, I realize the beatings did not come from you and I wish you all the success in the world. My boat is old and I don't know who what or why but it really had a plastic pump and of coarse after replacing the impeller we then broke the part that holds the impeller made of plastic and had a machine shop make it out of aluminum which works beautifully now, So if this had nothing to do with your problem I am sorry.

Seems like a pretty good machine shop that could take a broken housing and use it as a model to make a new eccentric pump housing and get the inlet and outlet hose connections welded in there and have it all bolt up and pump efficiently.

Have you debugged your boat's nose up problem? I will not continue that here and will wait for a response in the other thread, but just curious.

We are working on putting weight up front. I have not been in the water yet but we have had some great suggestions and explanations of what to do so we will see the next time out. Thank you guys for the info.
