Does anyone know a source for these o-rings and tiny quad ring that doesn't charge 6 bucks each!? also how about the welch plugs? I see it all offered as a kit for 16 bucks on ebay, should I just pay that or try to get measurement etc. and try McMasters? Kills me to pay this kind of money for stuff that you know cost pennies to make...the greed today is just horrible, Thanks, Joe.

If OEM is available, buy it from a reliable source. One of those tanks in good condition are worth rebuilding the fuel connector assembly.

You will waste a lot of man hours doing re-work if those are poor quality.

go to an OMC dealer. most I paid was $0.50 per O-ring in the middle of nowhere. I bought 6 and there are still 4 of them on a nail in my buddys garage.

Go to NAPA for welsh plugs. they probably have O-rings as well.

complaining about people on ebay capitalizing on people with telephobia / agoraphobia / marinedealerphobia just doesnt make sense. if you dont like the prices, dont buy from ebay.

However O-ring dimensions are an SAE standard. easy to measure and procure. however your local johnyrude dealer will have them in stock on a peg board or in a drawer.

OMC dealers are basically non-existent after they went out of business. Maybe you would be lucky to find a current dealer that used to sell OMC in the past.

My goto guy is Laing's Outboards in North Tonawanda, NY.

For OMC parts if you are in Canada I have always had good luck with Durham Marine in Pickering, Ontario. They even work on old stuff, as evidenced by seeing a 9½ turtleback in the shop when I was there.
