Thought I would share my winter project I'm working on.
Barn find 60's Larson boat that I am grafting part of a jet ski hull into.
Ski was a 99 Kawasaki STX1100, 2 stroke triple making about 110HP.
Using epoxy resin.
Had to make fixtures to be able to easily flip the boat when needed to work on the bottom.
Will update as I make progress 👍 20241124_151646.jpg20241205_210743.jpg20241221_192736.jpg20250101_133950.jpg20250101_150526.jpg20250104_200829.jpg20250118_170342.jpg20250119_141715.jpg20250119_154139.jpg20250119_174025.jpg20250119_174032.jpg20250119_174042.jpg20250119_165345.jpg

Cool. One thing though, I've been doing some reading lately, and from what I've read the epoxy resin isn't compatible with fiberglass. It has something to do with the adhesive used in the chopped strand mat, and it's not compatible with the polyester or polyvinyl resing used in the original construction.

This is only very recent reading for me though, I don't have any practical experience with epoxy resin. I'm sure somone else will know, or you might know for sure, but it wouldn't hurt to get that confirmed before buying the resin.
