Very strange stalling issue

My Mercruiser 260 runs great. However, it has stalled at idle maybe 5 times.
The strange part is it has happened at the same place every time. I have some friends in a local marina, and when I got in there at idle speed, by their launch ramp, it sometimes stalls there.
There is a lot of grass/seaweed there, maybe that has something to do with it?

It sounds similar to the problem that i had with my Grady
white. I don't know if you have a points and condensor ingnition or not, but i would come in off the lake go about 4 min. up the canal to my dock and just as i was turning to the dock it would stall. I could restart it quickly and it would run fine. It would always stall at the same spot. Anyway i replaced the coil, plugs,wires,fuel filter, in stages so i would know what was the problem was. I had tuned it up that spring, points, condensor, timing, so i didn't think that was the culprit but come to find out it was the condensor that was failing, i changed it and it ran great, no stalling problem ever again. good luck

It's weird it happens at this one marina, but anywhere else, coming in and idling the same way it's fine!
I have an electronic conversion in my dizzy.
