Vertical seat backing repair- Plastic- 05 Rinker Captiva

I have a 2005 Rinker Captiva and am in the process of having some upholstery work done. The vertical seat back just in front of the engine is in good shape with one exception. The plastic backing (it seems to be a thin plastic vs. wood apparently used in a lot of youtube videos) that attaches to the placement clips has broken- I'd rather not have to replace the who seat because the mounting bracket places have broken. Has anyone had this issue and found a solution? it cause the vertical seat back to be loose i'm worried one of my kids will hit it or kick it when entering the boat from the swim platform.

3 years later and I'm looking for the same solution. You get this, let me know if you found that then plastic.
