Vernatherm installation 85EL77S

I removed the vernatherm housing and guts to clean it. My problem is that the only way i see to put it all back together is to pull the powerhead and cowling so you can get it in. I got the housing on but i couldn't get it to go on with parts in it. The cowling is in the way. Anyone have any ideas other than just leaving it out?

Maybe I will have a look at a motor like that later today.---- See if it would be a 10 minute job.
