I have a 85 Johnson 25hp outboard tiller steering w/o the steering clamps on the motor to add helm steering. Trying to decide which way to go.
1. I can buy the steering clamp on ebay (Johnson Evinrude 20 25 30 35 HP Outboard Swivel Bracket Transom Clamp Assy 1985) for $104. But would need to install on motor.
2. Or Engine connection kit from ezglide for $168. Easier to install.
3. Or Ultraflex S61 Transom Steering cable support for about $50 not counting shipping.
Have any of you tried 2 or 3?? I like the Ultraflex option myself. It will be mounted on a 14' Gregor aluminum boat.
