variable pitch props?

Has any outboard manufacturer ever tried to implement a variable pitch prop like airplanes have? So that you can adjust the pitch while driving ..... would that even be possible?

Torque- Shift by Land & Sea,.... As well as Aero, I think by Quicksilver,.....
Were both Shifting Props.......

They fit Only the Large Gearcase lower units,......
And,...
I Believe that Both are now Out of Production.........

Land and Sea had a fire and decided not to re-invest in their tooling. AerostarMarine is still around as far as I know. I'm hoping to be able to try one this summer. They have a 30 day money back guarantee.

Not only are they variable pitch, the blade number can vary after a high-speed run occasionally...I "think" it was Dhadley that had one blade "exit" the area at a very bad time. some say "2 outa 3 ain't bad", but they isn't talking about lower unit damage when the blade get's JATO'd from the hub..
