Hi There chaps,my alarm constantly bleeps when I turn on ignition, prior to this it just done the short bleep and then stopped which I believe is a test bleep,it is very low on fuel in the tank which is obviously remote so presume it isnt that, can anyone advise what this is,also the two stroke tank is full on the engine and the remote one too, although I am about to disconnect the pump, any advise on the procedure for this to pevent the alarm from sounding if it had no oil in which it wont when I start to run premix, am I correct in thinking I should run on 50:1 ratio??
Many thanks in advance

Re: v6 135 1989 constant alarm bleep

I had the same issue on my 1996 150. The constant tone is supposed to be your temp sensor. Mine would do the exact same thing even if the engine was cold, constant tone when you turn the key. My issue was a bad oil module. If one of the oil module sensors detects a fault it is supposed to send a beep beep beep alarm. If the oil module itself has failed it will produce the constant tone you are getting. The oil module and temp sensor should Y in to a post and then from there it goes to your beeper. If you find that post and disconnect the oil module and then the temp sensor you will know which one is causing the tone.

Hope this helps. MSRP on a new oil module is around 270

It's beep beep for oil warning and beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep for overheat.Unfortunately these sensors die before the actual pump they are detecting does.
