V150 XR4 fuel and oil question

Good afternoon.
Recently acquired this boat and motor. 1st boat, I am pretty savvy with my hands build a lot of things with motors.
-1988
- oil system was already cut off all tanks removed
Question
The pressure hose from the block to oil tanks is open. Will this cause the fuel pump pulse hose to not have enough pull to flow fuel? Having an issue starting. Going to plug it up, but just wanted to know if this will make a difference. Motor runs when I spray fuel just not getting any to run on. Any tips would be great. Boat ram last June.

no it won't..
pressure valve (under starter) needs to go.. needs ta be plugged.. it pressurizes tha big tank to force oil to tha motor tank.. no fuel gettin' ta motor probably needs fuel pump?... i use ta keep a low pressure 'lectric pump jus for that reason.. use ta test.. but i also run 'lectric on most all my junk when i was doin' this motor stuff.......

I was looking at electric pump on some other boards. Going to re build pump see how that does.

bone stock "fishin' motor think thats a good idea anda place ta start.. cheap and can't hurt a thing.... jmo, gl.
