Using HDPE plastic on bunk boards

Read most of the threads recomending different plastic on bunk boards instead of carpet, I am thinking of using HDPE from sandhill plastic company in either 3/8 or 1/2. I was going to order from 1 of the other company's but my 26 ft tritune with shipping and price on the other plastic was really high.

I can get this other stuff locally and it is used in cow lots, tractor trailers and they said the weight is no problem.

Any negatives on using the plastic on a pontoon boat trailer??

I can't imagine any problems.

Your talking about putting it on your bunks right? not using it as bunks.
