Using garden hose attachment on Mercury Outboard

I recently purchased a boat with a 1998 Mercury 150 efi. I read the manual and used a garden hose connected to the hose attachment for flushing. It says not to use anything over 45psi. I am not sure how much water pressure I used. If I did open the hose to much and used too much water pressure what type of damage can be done. I flushed it for about two to three minutes max. I am not very mechanical so this may be a dumb question. I do appreciate any response.

I seriously doubt your garden hose is anywhere near that pressurized....I think my house has good water pressure, and I think I have 16 psi.
