Discovered it as a result of readings on this site. I have actually used it for sealing gaskets. However, I've had more non-gasket uses.

Coating threads of SS fasteners to prevent freezing. Its worked great so far.

Repair of plastic bumper cover. Trailer hitch knocked a cover for a nut off of the step of the bumper of my Tacoma. The little attachment lugs almost sheared off. Coated the mating surfaces with the sealant, held in place with masking tape for a day and it's solid as a rock.

The wheel covers on my Tacoma are held on with little metal clips. The tire guys are always knocking them loose losing them. Dealer won't sell me a $0.25 replacement clip - will only sell a complete new wheel cover for $100. Smeared the loose clips with the sealant and stuck them back in. Haven't lost one since.

Its becoming my go-to item for when I can't think of anything else to do a job.

Sounds like a useful deterrent to our no whining rule aboard.

For years I had a problem with auto tranny oil pans leaking. Tried everything to get them to seal, EVEN PUT THEM ON DRY LIKE THE DIRECTIONS SAID! Figured that adhesive would do the trick since nothing else I tried worked. Nope. So I just put it on one side and left the other side dry. Worked like a charm.
