Used Boat Value

I am thinking of selling my boat and wondering what it is worth. It is a 1989 16' Alumacraft Competitor with a 1997 Mercury 90hp 2-stoke and a 1989 Shorelander trailer.

depends on condition, location, each market is different. in this economy 1/3 to 1/2 of what you think it is worth.

I'd need some pics but that sounds like a REAL nice boat. I'm thinking $5k-$7500? Not sure though. Have to see what else is selling in your area.

Dont know where you are...boats are cheap.....motors are always in demand and trailers hold theri value well....especially galvanized ones

the motor in the northeast should sell for around $2500-$3500 alone

the trailer if it has working brakes and good tires should be worth $800-$1000

boat ...who knows

if it is Aluminum, then it might be worth something.

people cant give away older fiberglass boats it seems....

Also I have found that now is not the time to sell, if that helps any. The same boats have been for sale in my area for months.

I hear spring is best to sell.

Its like a 4x4 SUV, everyone wants to buy in the fall, and then you can't sell them come spring / summer.
