Use toggle switch boots?

Found these nifty toggle switch boots that keep water and corrosion off of toggle switches.

Thinking of using them on the dash, because I noticed this past weekend that the toggle switches that were installed a year ago already have very fine signs of salt air corrosion on the chrome.

Anyone use them? Are they worth installing?

Kind of late for that, the switches are already in.

But thanks anyway!

Ayuh,... I tried to keep them on all the toggle switches on all of our equipment, but they wear out rather quickly...
I've gone to the rubber seal type that seals around the shank of the toggle switch, rather than completely covering the switch...
They seem to seal as well, 'n don't wear out at all, so far...
Mouser Electronics carries 'em,... Both styles...

Kinda off your topic abit Mark, as your gettin' corrosion on the shafts, but I figgered I'd throw it out here anyways... ;)

Those little switch condoms are probably not a bad idea if you can't guarantee if your switch is not internally sealed or sees moisture in general. Odds are the Harbor Freight/Princess Auto 99 cent ones aren't sealed.

I won't bother on mine as I will be going to the new plastic rocker switches soon.

Thanks to all for your responses. They are cheap enough, I included a few in an order I placed. Will find out how well the perform.
