need to change water pump on 1992 40H Evinrude and can not get the lower unit to drop down....have 5 bolts removed and have tried every gear.<br />Please help!
All you have left is the shift rod which is at the front of engine below carbs look on port side of motor in that area and you will see a 5/16 nut with slot remove that and she'll drop.
