Upper Gearbox Question

We have a 85 Bayliner Capri with the 800 Stringer Outdrive. We had shifting problems, had it diagnosed and shifting cable was fine. They then told us that the upper gear box needs to be replaced. Where can we find one other than the dealer?

OMC has been Outa Business for over a decade now...

Used is yer Only option....

GLM marine makes a replacement upper. You'll need to know what engine you have to get the right gear ratio though.
