twist grip install

Hey everyone,

I am having fits trying to get the twist grip back on properly with my 25 Johnson. Its a 92 model. I have done it before but i cant remember if there was a special technique to getting it to all come together at once in order to get it to lock in place.

Any suggestions? thank you!!

Use some white grease to hold it all together. This will free up a hand.
While I have had many apart I really need to look at it to see how it goes together, got pix?

I too have had plenty of them appart but can't explain on here how to do it. You may want to go to Shop Evinrude.com. and look up your mtr. There's a real nice parts break down there and you may get some ideas.

ok, thanks. i will go by the shop in the morning and see if i can coax them away from the heater to slip it on real quick lol.
