Twin Merc 4.3 V6's Alpha 1 rotation question

Hello, my buddy and I looked at a 1996 Maxum 2700scr the other day. He was pretty serious on buying this boat until I noticed that the out drives had the same rotation. Is that normal?

Test drive it and find out for yourself. No way do you want to buy any boat with twin engines without a test run. I would strongly suggest a survey as well.
