I have a new boat and will be jumping into a complicated rigging /boat set up for the first time.

my last boat the 50 hp was installed by the dealer.

this boat will have a few firsts for me.
the first power tilt/trim motor
the first hydraulic jack plate
the first center console

and my first stainless steel prop( eventually)

I need a good guide on how to set it up step by step so i know what to change and when...

a lot of variables will be in play and I want to go with a plan and methodically change things in a controled manner so I know what did what.

I want to be able to run this boat in very shallow water..IE the jack plate

and I have heard that a cupped cleaver style prop can be used to help in that it can break the water surface and still work good( get further away from the bottom but still push the boat)

should I try and set the trim on the outboard first....

I think I have to get the boat running good on plane before I try to play with props.. I hope to be able to go to a local dealer and try props till I find one that works the best

I want the jack plate to be set up correctly for running on plane..it is a 10" setback....so it supposedly should be able to be higher than standard...

the performance of the boat in the shallows isnt that critical....Ill have the jack plate set for planing speed and just return to the correct setting when i get out of the shallows..I have a guage for that.

the motor has a trim guage sendor....is there a guage that goes with that?

I have a 2070 lowe Ultra roughneck

is has a 12 degree dead rise hull and is 70 " at the chine...I have flotation pods welded on the back to help raise the rear end...

the motor is a 1997 evinrude 90 hp ocean pro..

the prop I have now is a 76214 14X17 aluminum...it is in good shape

Ill start with that to do the set up then move to trying props unless i can get in the right rpm range at WOT

if anyone can give me a game plan Id appreciate it...might make this easier

and shorter

thanks
